| Musicians to the Rescue: Benefit Concert for El Salvador Catholic Hispanic singers and musicians from South Florida (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Hialeah, Homestead and surrounding cities) unite forces in a concert to benefit the victims of the recent earthquakes in El Salvador. The event will take place on Friday, March 9, 2001 at St. Michael's Church, 2987 W. Flagler Street, Miami, Florida. From Nicaragua, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Honduras -among other countries- they've all come together as immigrants in Miami, and now they unite their God's given gifts to bring relief to the suffering people of El Salvador. Some of the participants in this benefit concert are: Aquarela, Claribel Mercier, Creation, Cristy & Miguel Arias, Fernando Gómez, Grupo Alianza, Irayda Yocham, Jorge Enrique del Rivero, Karysma, Landolfo D'Aquino, Lazos de Luz, Noe Amezcua, Olguita Urbina, Orlando Ponce y Yeshica Yanes. All proceeds will be donated through Caritas (Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Miami).
